AWD Diesel Manual SWB Van. Mot'd and serviced.
My AWD ex British Gas go anywhere van. I got this van to move my belongings to difficult to access remote farm in N.wales - and then used it to collect building materials for the farm. It has also been used as camper van - for weekend trips. These AWD transits seem v.rare and always get comments from the mot garage of admiration.

My AWD ex British Gas go anywhere van. I got this van to move my belongings to difficult to access remote farm in N.wales – and then used it to collect building materials for the farm. The AWD aspect seems to work by kicking in when required or you can manually select. The chunky tyres really help grip – and were on the van when I bought it – as the previous owner had begun the process to convert it into a go anywhere camper van – so it has a diesel heater with remote – installed (I have never used this -so cannot say much about it) – side windows – two front seats (inc drivers), then the rear has three seats that can be added or removed – connect to rails and can be removed easily – I tend to leave the seats out and keep the back clear – but they are there to use and come with the van. It has square tail hitch – again not used so cannot say much about that.
The van has two connected under driver seat – batteries for running – both brand new this year. plus one leisure battery under passenger seat – that you can use for personal use -this battery is old and could do with replacing. Its has got rusty spots – I tried to take pics of those – and i have had welding done near the rear arches – again see pics – and there is an impact knock at the top of the windscreen corner – again see pic. The van has in the last month been Fully serviced, very reliable easy to drive – manual. Has rear parking sensors – good radio – heating etc all works.
It has recently been fully serviced – with receipts and MOT’D – for its most recent MOT it had rear brakes discs and pads replaced. I have now moved away from Wales and no longer need the van as much so selling – you are welcome to view in Chorleywood by arrangement/when I’m home (jct 17 m25)
spare key – original owners manual – and various receipts and mot’s. I do not have a buy it now price – and will let the auction find its value.
On 22-Mar-26 at 23:06:24 GMT, seller added the following information:prev owner receipts show 2020 – 3pc SAC clutch kit with CSC TR, Dual Mass flywheel, starter motor fitted. I have owned the van since april 2022 – and no van expert, I rely on the garage to service, I do check tyre pressures, oil and coolant levels ( it uses some coolant on longer trips) The gear change is smooth. I don’t know if the timing chain has ever been inspected or changed. The tyres are listed as 225 75 16 BFG KO2 tyres. The rear door is fitted with a security lock. The side sliding door does not. The side rear panel windows are tinted. On 26-Mar-26 at 18:11:19 GMT, seller added the following information:as people have asked me why I needed to occasionally top up the coolant – i investigated and found the pink residue near this jubilee clip- so probably not creating a tight enough seal creating a slow drip, this also corresponds with a little small coolant wet patch on my driveway as it been stood there some time below that clip – in the list of pics image of the culprit clip – I so did my best to tighten the clip a bit more. hope that helps. The van has air con I discovered today (never used that), I have some more pic of the top and underneath i can send via message. I have reached my photo limit.
