I'm listing my 2002 Ford Focus Estate, 2.0 litre Ghia Automatic. 106,650 miles. Mot until the beginning of July 2026.
I'm only selling because I now have a smaller, cheaper to run work car and don't need the larger estate space any more. And there's a potential developing gearbox issue mentioned below.

I’m listing my 2002 Ford Focus Estate, 2.0 litre Ghia Automatic. 106,650 miles. Mot until the beginning of July 2026.
I’m only selling because I now have a smaller, cheaper to run work car and don’t need the larger estate space any more. And there’s a potential developing gearbox issue mentioned below.
The bodywork is in good condition for age with a few marks consistent with age. Dent on rear driver’s side wheel arch and below front bumper as photographed.
There is a great, comfortable, light coloured cloth interior. Marked in a couple of places. Unfortunately the previous owner’s work equipment ripped the back of two rear headrests and marked the boot floor (as photographed). And the driver’s arm rest no longer lowers.
It comes with a great, full history file showing lots of previous work. Including a timing belt change in 2018 at 86,277 miles, sills repaired in recent years and valve cover gasket in 2024.
It had a new Bosch battery fitted in October 2025 (still in 5 year warranty) and recent two new front tyres and balancing.
It drives really well and smoothly, but it seems there is a potential problem with the automatic gearbox. Sometimes it delays changing up and the warning light has come on a couple of times, which clears upon restarting the car. I’ve been told it might just be a solenoid, but will need further investigation to be sure.
Also, the rear passenger nearside window doesn’t work, along with the rear window washer (the wiper works though).
The CD player doesn’t work (won’t load CDs), but the radio works. Though the code needs to be entered after changing the battery.
It has a full set of keys, though only one remote works the doors and the other one is used for ignition.
It’s a great opportunity to buy a potential future classic for someone willing to sort them out. The estate space is fantastic.
