I’m selling this car on behalf of my son, who doesn’t use . He bought this car in immaculate condition in 2018. Since then, it’s been in use pretty much every day and has been a brilliant run-around car that’s never broken down. It has several minor faults, but no major ones. My son is selling it now because he’s bought a newer car. Starting with the down sides of this car: Corroded exterior exhaust silencer (see photo)This has been an advisory on the last two MOTs. It’s now making a rattling sound, so it’ll need replacing at its next MOT. Damp in the boot spaceA while ago, there was a leak of rainwater into the boot that soaked the fabric of the spare wheel cover. My son has tried several times to dry it out, but it never dries fully and causes condensation and sometimes a damp smell. Realistically, that spare wheel cover needs replacing. MOT is due May 11th 2026Here are the advisories from the most recent MOT pass on May 11th 2025:· Offside Rear EX. SILENCER DETERIORATED· Nearside Rear Tyre slightly damaged/cracking or perishing (5.2.3 (d) (ii))· Offside Rear Tyre slightly damaged/cracking or perishing (5.2.3 (d) (ii))· Nearside Front Tyre slightly damaged OUTER WALL (5.2.3 (d) (ii))· Offside Rear Nail in tyre 195/45/R16· Nearside Rear Sub-frame pin or bush worn but not resulting in excessive movement (5.3.4 (a) (i))· Offside Rear Sub-frame pin or bush worn but not resulting in excessive movement (5.3.4 (a) (i)) Several ‘wear and tear’ faultsScuffed left-side alloysSmall damage to front bumperScratch on driver-side rear windowThe left-side wing mirror casing is a little bit dislodged (it’s been that way for years and hasn’t caused any issues)The QuickClear heated windscreen doesn’t clear as evenly as it did – some bits take a little longerThe leather gator on the gear stick is very worn and will need replacing soon Now for the up sides: £20 tax and high mpgThis is the diesel manual Fiesta, so its yearly tax is much lower than the petrol version (which is £180-£200). In the time my son’s had this car, it’s averaged over 55mpg – despite rarely doing trips of more than 10 miles. Top-spec modelThis is the 2009 TDCi Titanium. It’s equipped with:Air conditioning + Electric Auto Temperature Control (EATC)Privacy glassQuickClear heated windscreenCruise controlElectric power steeringImmobiliserRemote central lockingSecond remote keyElectric front windows / one touch facilityABS+EBATrip computerDriver and passenger airbags Cam belt replaced in 2022On May 5th 2022, the car had a new cam belt and water pump fitted. Engine and gearbox have been bulletproofIf you look on the MOT history, you’ll see quite a few wheel and suspension related repairs – my son’s very outdoorsy, so this car’s been driven on some pretty rough roads. But the engine and gearbox have never caused any problems. No surprisesI have good seller reviews because I’m always honest about what I’m selling. Obviously the nearly-due MOT comes with an element of risk, but I wouldn’t sell a car without listing all the faults I know it to have.
The v5 is in by son’s name and present along with both keys and owners manual. I only accept payment by PayPal or cash on collection.
