Ford Capri 2.8 injection B reg 1984,(not a special.)I bought this car 3 years ago as a project and had It taken to garage to carry out repairs and bodywork etc.Unfortunately it only got as far as the chairs and carpets being removed ready for welding and outside stripped ready for body work and paint! Ford Capri 2.8 injection B reg 1984,(not a special.)I bought this car 3 years ago as a project and had It taken to garage to carry out repairs and bodywork etc.Unfortunately it only got as far as the chairs and carpets being removed ready for welding and outside stripped ready for body work and paint! For one reason and another I am unable to finish the project.All I know about this car is it was taken off the road in 2008 due to insurance loss(stated on logbook)and put back on the road until 2015 due to MOT failure’s, needing work to underneath which you can see on gov MOT website.I haven’t got any history with this car.The engine turns but I have never started as it was missing the starter motor when purchased.So I don’t know how it runs or sounds and not sure how the gearbox and axle performs. The car is solid on top but needs welding underneath.I have spent over £500 on floor pans ,sills ,arches chassis rails etc which comes with the car and also a new starter motor and new door cards.
To my knowledge the only thing missing is the radio and lower part of rear seat which was rotten so has been thrown.The chairs do need a major clean.I’m the 4th owner.It comes with keys and logbook which is now registered as historical so tax ,mot exempt.Its showing 113000 miles so gone around the clock.Reg- B379 PKV
This model probably would have come with pepper pot wheels but at some time been changed to the 7 spoke special wheels, 13”comes with set of 5.I have been honest as I can – you can see in pictures.The car needs to be obviously trailered away as not running.
I’m going to start at £500 and going to let it run and hopefully someone else can finish project or be a good donor car.The car is in Nazeing, Broxbourne , not far from A10. 20 mins from Junction 26 on M25.Cash or bank transfer on collection.
