2022 ford transit custom AUTO 170bhp 300 limited LWB with NO VAT95,000 MILES — mot until February 2027 – 2 keys – full logbook – service history as follows ( service @ 54,000 – service @78,000 -service @ 95,000) wet belt im told was done around 70-80,000 miles I have no proof of this but can clearly see the wet belt cover caseing has been replaced and I can’t see anybody going though the hassle of changing the cover and not taking the extra 2 mins to change the belt! FAULTS- the van starts 1st time has all its power engine is sweet!! the gearbox changes smoothly BUT when the van is cold if you go to put it into reverse give it a bit of revs & its delayed then theres a very noticeable “thump” then it goes in. – when the van is warmed up it rarely happens.theres no whining to any gears no slipping nothing like that – its literally just this reverse fault. im told it could be down to the gearbox needing a service, believe it or not ive asked 4 mechanics and can’t get anyone to do it!! so I give up. — hopefully for anyone buying it, its just a service and sorted. worst way in the world a second hand gearbox is around a £1000 there are cheaper and more expensive but ive gone middle ground! — and ive priced the van accordingly. if the van was perfect it would probley be £15k.the fault happens maybe 1/10 times and normally only when cold. once warmed up and been into reverse it rarely happens ( this is why im told service for the gearbox, as its not something that happens every time) the gearbox oil on the gearbox dipstick does look brown in colour again usually means it needs to be changed. as im told it should be bright pink/red. the vans priced to sell so please no messers and stupid offers! the van is 100% hpi clear in every way but feel free to check it yourself any questions at all just ask – want more photos just ask!!
