Selling as a project with NO RESERVE!
From a deceased estate and has sat for a few years but apparently won 7 previous concours awards.
As it has sat for while, the fuel is stale and the tank will need cleaning along with carb, fuel lines…etc. We have removed the fuel tank but not done anything further. Fuel tank is present along with a box of various other parts.
There is some damage to the passenger side where the passenger door caught the wind and blew back breaking off the handle (still present), and denting the bodywork as you can see in the pics. The passenger door still operates as it should via the internal door handle.
The condition of the rest of the car though is superb. Restored to an exceptionally high standard, however due to the car not currently running and needing a good thorough going over, we are selling as a project for spares/repair and obviously no warranty of any kind.
We have not had the car running and driving but, despite the damage on the passenger side, everything appears to be in place and of superb condition. Engine turns, gearbox feels smooth and slick, brakes work, steering feels nice and tight but of course we can’t guarantee any of the components. The little spade key is missing, but you can still operate the ignition with similar or obtain an original correct type very easily.
The V5C is present and in my name.
I had really hoped to bring this one back to its former glory as it’s a very nice easy project for somebody, however we just have too much on our plate at present.
Sorry to harp on, but one has to be very clear these days, you bid you buy no returns. It will obviously require transporting, I may be able to help recommend a good chap for this for you.
Viewings/inspections more than welcome during work hours by appointment prior to the end of the auction.
Payment and collection within 3 days ideally via bank transfer or cash. Collection is from our premises in North Chailey, East Sussex, during work hours Monday to Friday.
I reserve the right to end the auction early if the bids just aren’t coming in or if I receive an offer I can’t refuse
Best of luck!
